BEST SIC CODES

When investing in a prospect contact list, it is important that the list contains basic information; company name, CEO name, address, phone, number of employees, geographic location and SIC code.

Problem:
Determining the Best SIC Codes to Target
One of the biggest challenges in procuring contact lead lists is determining the right SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) codes. There are over 1000 SIC codes. It is important to buy leads that will be acceptable to your company's workers' compensation (W/C) carrier.

The right SIC codes solves only part of the problem. You may have acceptable SIC codes to your workers' comp carrier, however are those going to be good clients?

For example, a restaurant may be acceptable to your W/C carrier, however, due to high turnover, frequent minor workers’ comp claims, poor benefits participation and low wages, a restaurant may not be a profitable client.

Problem Solved:
The Kelley/Risk Metrics HRO Desirability Score
I have worked with Risk Metrics Corp. to develop a spreadsheet of SIC codes that takes the guesswork out of determining the best prospects. Together, we analyzed over 1000 SIC codes to come up with the Kelley/Risk Metrics HRO Desirability Score or "HDS".

HDS has two scores. The first score is either "A" or "U".
"A" meaning acceptable to most HRO/PEO's workers' compensation carriers
"U" meaning unacceptable to most HRO/PEO's workers' compensation carriers
The second score is Desirability. Desirability means potential profitability and likely service requirements in human resources, workers' compensation risk, good benefits participation and acceptable pay structure. Each acceptable SIC code is scored in the following categories:
A: Ideal
B: Highly acceptable
C: Acceptable
D: Poor
The REALLY COOL Marketing Advantage:
The W/C Renewal Date
The Kelley/Risk Metrics HRO Desirability Score SIC list has the workers’ comp renewal date for prospects in 32 states! The advantage is that you can buy lists that contain the best prospects and you will know the perfect time to contact them - at their workers’ comp renewal date.

Risk Metrics has data for all 50 states, and even in states where they don’t have workers’ comp renewals. The HDS helps you target the right prospects for your company. You can buy data without workers’ comp renewals from Risk Metrics for less than you will pay other data providers.

To have a Risk Metrics representative contact you for a complimentary prospect profile that shows the number of companies that match the HDS criteria in your area, please submit the following information.
